[So poor Rei here is not where he had been as of an hour ago. Training with his pokemon, working on their techniques--and now he's...

Kind of in the air. And a little panicked, mind you.]

Ahh--- If anyone is in Violet City, I could use some assistance!

[He's got a very shaky grip on his Gear, which has been showing the ground slowly distancing itself from him, and soon turns it to face him, where no less than seven Drifloons have decided to take him hostage.]

I'm not sure where they're taking me but I can't free myself from this height without risking severe bodily injury and I'd rather not break my neck! I-if someone could please-- I'm not sure what to do here!!

[And he almost drops his gear--there's a moment of panic, and he lets out a choked scream, but manages to catch it in his hands. Before he turns it off, he just has this look of utmost pity; he's going to cry.]

[One moment Jimmy is in Goldenrod, spending time with Beezy and Heloise, and the next he's suddenly in Violet. He hopes they didn't teleport too, but at least it's all a matter of hopping on his Volcarona and flying back...

At least after this crisis is averted because that sure is a crisis up there, isn't it? It's a good thing he's been busy training some of the new additions to his team, lately.]

Woah, hang on! I'll get you down!

[Jimmy quickly pulls a ball from his belt to release his Gogoat, Summer, who shakes herself brusquely before turning her attention to where Jimmy is frantically pointing at the sky.]

Use Vine Whip to grab hold of him, hurry!

[In moments, two twin vines shoot from the bushy leaves around her neck, all the way up to wrap themselves several times around Rei's waist.]

[Rei isn't sure how the little critter is going to assist--but the moment he sees the vines shoot out, he instantly understands. Those seem quite useful, although he worries about--

Yep. That's why he's worried.

The angry are definitely trying to engage in a game of Tug-o-Rei.]

[OH NO YOU DON'T.]

Hang on!

[These drifloon would have to be pretty strong to lift a Gogoat off the ground, but she does have to dig her hooves in to keep from being dragged too far as they start to pull back.

Since sending out another Pokemon to fight the Drifloon so close to Rei would be dangerous, Jimmy does the next best thing and grabs on to Summer's coat, trying to help her pull him down.]

[Rei does his best not to make any loud protesting noises, but he can't help the whimper as he feels the pokemon trying to wrench him from the others' grasp. He just tries wiggling his limbs a little to assist in shaking off the tiny hands--

And he manages to get two to free him, but there are at least four others that don't want to let go. The Drifloons soon find themselves rather overpowered by Jimmy's assistance, and they all start moving closer to the ground. For all of a minute, before the other two realize that cooperation is key and grab hold of his feet.

And then those jerks just steal his shoes.]

WHAT WAS THE POINT IN THAT?!

[Well, maybe if Rei is lucky they won't just up and leave with his shoes? He's lucky enough that they haven't up and left with him, at least not yet. Jimmy grits his teeth and keeps pulling, Summer grunting with exertion as she continues to try and get her charge safely to the ground.]

C'mon Summer, pull! We almost got it!

[The struggle continues for a few good moments, as he tries to wiggle his limbs in the hopes of cooperating and shaking them off. He isn't sure it's working at all, until they slowly start letting go, one at a time, until there's only one tiny balloon attached to his arm. At this rate, they've accepted their defeat.

Rei lets out a soft sigh as he feels himself slowly drifting closer to the ground. Thank goodness.]

[Jimmy watches Rei carefully as he starts to descend, intending to keep holding on until he's safely made it to the ground. Summer lets out a soft snort at the remaining Drifloon, meanwhile. Might as well give it up, the rest of your friends have already bailed!]

[This poor little Drifloon. It's still holding on even as Rei's pulled safely back down, and as his feet touch the ground, it's just holding on. Rei just sighs, giving a slightly angled bow.]

Thank you for all the assistance. That was... to be honest? A tad terrifying.

Well, it didn't look all that fun from down here, either!

[He releases the Gogoat once he's sure Rei is down safely, moving instead to pet the top of her head.]

Are you okay?

[He sighs softly, nodding.]

I am. Thank you so much for all of your assistance.

[He tries wiggling his arm again, but this little thing just doesn't seem to want to let go.] I do wonder what they want.

Have you tried asking them?

[Any other time it would have been a dumb question, but not if Rei has any psychic types.]

Ask... them? I was under the impression they cannot speak.

[Sadly, he's a boring ol' normal kid.]

Most can't! But Psychic Pokemon can...using telepathy and stuff, yaknow? If you got any psychic types with you, they might be able to figure out what they want.

They... do?

[When was that even possible?]

...this world gets weirder and weider by the day.

They sure do! It's pretty handy.

[In fact, he should probably get a psychic of his own one of these days...]

What were you doing when they picked you up, anyways?
