1st Theory ○ [video//Action for NBT] [backdated to Sunday evening]

[A red-spectacled young gentleman appears on the screen after a few seconds. He looks... slightly disturbed but more or less serious.]

I’m sorry to intrude, but I’ve actually got quite a few inquiries on this, uh... [World? Virtual Simulation?] ...this place. I’ve already given the trainer information packet a skim over, but I’m not surely meant to believe that we’re in some alternative world, am I?

First--and I do apologize if this question comes off as redundant or foolish--but I’d like to know how it is to return to where I need to be. Tomorrow is an important day for my teammate and myself, and we don’t have time to dawdle. I’d also prefer to do as little stalling as possible, as I would prefer if we headed back as soon as we're able.

[As Rei continues to talk, a young boy's voice can be heard off in the distance causing a whole lot of commotion. Eventually, a head of blond hair zooms past Rei toward the right, and then comes on back toward the left... and then the right. And then the left again. And then Nagisa ends up running circles behind Rei for a few seconds before there's a loud "Aha!" and he shouts out toward his occupied friend.]

Rei-chan! Rei-chan look, look what I caught! It's the biggest mouse I've ever seen! It's so chubby and fluffy! Look!

[With what appears to be a Dedenne in his arms, Nagisa speeds over to Rei and practically tackles right into him.

Just as the Dedenne decides that it really doesn't enjoy being treated so roughly and decides these weirdos need to be punished with a jolt of electricity.
]

NAGIS-AAAHHH!!!

[At the shock, Rei's gear goes flying, and clunks on the ground. With that final scream, the gear shuts off momentarily.]
beholdmydemons: (happy - well fancy that)

Nope, you're stranded here! Welcome to Johto; don't try to climb the ledges, do make friendly with your Pokemon, and don't manhandle the wildlife.

[Looks like y'all have that last one covered, though.]

Hoy, you still alive? You should take that as a lesson, most of them do worse when crossed.

Stranded?! Like in those movies?! How are we going to survive! We need food and water and shelter! I haven't been out camping enough so I don't think I'm very prepared!
beholdmydemons: (... - shut up navarre)

[...poor guy needs some help, then.] You haven't? Then I'd say keep to the road and walk all day until you reach town. There's a clear stream along the way to fill your canteens at, and if you quickly make your way to Cherrygrove, you won't have to fall back on your Pokemon for emergency rations.

[Walter is a terrible person.]

[At least the emergency Pokerations goes over Nagisa's head for a quick moment.]

Oh... that's good at least! Actually, I trained on an island before, so maybe I'll be okay. I just have to make sure Rei-chan doesn't go swimming on his own again!
beholdmydemons: (talk - here's the plan)

Yes, swimming alone would be unwise. The water's full of strange, man-eating monsters with large teeth. Sometimes they get plucked up by the wind and dropped in cities.
beholdmydemons: (talk - meh)

Alright. [He starts counting off on his fingers as he goes.]

[One.] There's small, innocent-looking ledges along some of these roads. If you want to try at scaling them, I suggest keeping bandages and ice on hand.

[Two.] Your Pokemon are the most important thing you have; they're your personal defense, for one. Be a trainer they're willing to take orders from, and you'll avoid a lot of the kind of trouble you just had.

[Three.] Wild Pokemon can stir up the same kind of trouble, even if they're small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, so don't toy with them.

And no, you're not deluded. You're like to be here for a while. Try to enjoy it, Johto's really a nice place.

The Pokegear's always there if you need to find something out. Hell, I've nowhere to be, if you need more things explained. What Pokemon did you begin with?

[.....ffffffIIIIISH no]

They're...peculiar like that, yeah. That Pokemon, though, it's, er, not the strongest you could have been given...Not one I often see, in all candor.
beholdmydemons: (unhappy - WHINES)

[Yeah, that's...nice, he guesses.]

Conscientious of you. If you want something to support it in the meantime, I have a few of these...rare frog things I don't plan on training. Just caught them because there's a rash of never-before-seen Pokemon going around and they were a curiosity.
