[Rei's back. He's not sure where he'd gone, but he's standing on the streets of Goldenrod City, in some strange arabian-looking outfit, holding an empty pitcher of water.

And frowning heavily.]

...I'm not sure what happened to these past few weeks, given that apparently time has completely erased them, but ah...

...outside of the new arrivals, can anyone tell me if there's some sort of costume event happening? I know I missed Halloween, but this is absurd!

It is! [He shudders. He's very unhappy with this predicament.]

Maybe you could get a coat or something?

I'm going to look for one. I'm... not exactly certain where my belongings are.

[the_pilgrim]

Wha? Did they get stolen?!

[esthetically]

They may have... I wasn't here when I'd gone to sleep last night, so they may be in the inn.

Do you have something that knows Fly?

[esthetically]

I... have a few which can fly, but... [He sighs.] I've yet to actually challenge a gym leader here.

[the_pilgrim]

Ah, actually, I'm the same...

[esthetically]

Ah... [He laughs shyly.] I guess I'm not alone in this, huh. How long have you been here?

[the_pilgrim]

A couple months? I kind of lost track.

[esthetically]

Ahh, so a short while. [He laughs.] Not a waste at all. Hopefully it hasn't been too arduous.

[the_pilgrim]

Not too much....well, my Buizel punched me in the face right out of the egg.

[naggysa]

[Well don't look now, Rei, because there's someone approaching you from behind. A very familiar someone with a Piplup in his arms and an incredulous expression, like he honestly can't quite believe what he's looking at.

At any rate, Rei will hear sudden laughter over his shoulder before he actually sees him.]

Rei-chan? Is that you?

[esthetically]

[The laughter has Rei spinning around, face growing increasingly more red as he finds himself assaulted with a wave of emotions. Half of it is 'Nagisa why are you here' and the other half is 'IT'S NOT FUNNY STOP LAUGHING'.

He settles for pushing his glasses up.] It's not nearly as hilarious as you think it is, Nagisa-kun!

[naggysa]

[Nagisa trots closer, closing the gap between them so he can get a better look at Rei and what he's wearing.]

Are you sure? Cause...it's pretty funny! Where'd you get that anyways?

[esthetically]

I don't know! I just woke up and happened to be wearing... this.

[He tries to tug the front closed--but there's not enough material for it. So he just crosses his arms.] It's far too cold to wear something this revealing.

[naggysa]

[Nagisa can't stop smiling, and if he weren't holding his Piplup right now, he'd probably be fiddling with Rei's outfit himself.]

Well, I dunno how I got here either...but instead of a costume, I got this!

[And he holds his Piplup out for Rei to see, the Pokemon in question lifting her flippers with a soft cry of greeting.]

[esthetically]

Ah... A Piplup. [Rei reaches down to give it a small pat on the head.]

It's very cute. It means you're a trainer here, again.

[naggysa]

[That causes him to tilt his head a little as he draws his partner back to hold against his chest again.]

Ehh? Again? Do you know something I don't, cause I'm pretty sure I've never been here before...

[esthetically]

Ah. Well, hmm... [Rei crosses his arms.] To put it simply--you've been here before. You... arrived when I did. And you don't remember, but that happens sometimes.

[naggysa]

[Nagisa blinks, his expression softening a bit.]

Oh...that's really weird. I wouldn't think I'd forget a place like this.

[esthetically]

As I said, it happens sometimes. It wasn't you purposefully forgetting. The world opted for it to be.

[But he smiles nonetheless.] I'm glad I got to see you again, though.

[naggysa]

[Well...that seems to be enough for Nagisa, and Rei's smile is reassuring, at least.]

Well yeah, we're best friends, aren't we? Of course I wouldn't stay away for long!

[esthetically]

Right! [He smiles a bit more. While he doubts Nagisa will be there for too long, he'll enjoy what time he does have with his friend.]

So... would you care to look around the city?

[naggysa]

Yeah! Is Rei-chan gonna give me the grand tour?

[Nagisa snickers, lifting his Piplup a bit higher in his arms. She seems pretty content right where she is, her flippers resting over Nagisa's forearm.]

[esthetically]

Well. The grand tour of this city, at least. This world is far too large to travel in one day.

[But he beckons Nagisa along and begins to walk inwards towards a more populated area of the city.]

[naggysa]

Says you! You just haven't tried.

[The blonde grins as he falls into step next to Rei, curiously surveying his surroundings as they walk. More than the city itself, though, he notices the fact that there are Pokemon just about everywhere you look.]

Wooow...these little guys are all over the place!
